ALVOR EQUILÍBRIO
Alvor Equilíbrio is a place branding project for Alvor Parish Council, located in the south of Portugal, Algarve. This brand came to life within a group contest, result of a partnership between ISMAT University and Alvor Parish Council. The main objective was to create a timeless brand that still represents the essence and the roots of this fisherman's village. Originated from a custom typeface, the brand's 'O' circle, will represent a "portal" for all the unique characteristics of this place.
There were three sub-brands created, namely:
essencial essencial
represents nature, as this village is a famous destiny for it's beautiful natural surroundings;
autêntico authentic
connected to the fisherman's village culture and the civilians' roots;
dinâmico dynamic
related to sports, as Alvor is a primary location choice in the Algarve for its great conditions to practice surf, windsurf, skydive, etc.
All three combined result in the brand’s signature equilíbrio equilibrium.
